Steve S.E. Willis is a veteran multi-instrumentalist whose career spans more than five decades, rooted in American blues, boogie, zydeco, gospel, and country influences. Originally from West Virginia and based in Arizona since the late 1960s, Willis began playing piano and harmonica in his youth and has performed with prominent artists across blues and roots music, including Chuck Berry, Albert King, Bo Diddley, and Elvin Bishop. Inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, Willis leads S.E. Willis and the Willing with commanding vocals and masterful keyboard skills—creating a sound that blends classic blues with spirited Americana.
Hailing from Phoenix, Lucius Parr is a Texas-born blues guitarist and bandleader known for his soulful guitar work and deep respect for blues tradition. Parr has a storied career that includes opening for legends such as Bobby Rush, B.B. King, and Buddy Guy, and sharing the stage with Albert Collins, Johnny Copeland, and Charlie Daniels. An Arizona Blues Hall of Fame inductee, he brings a powerful blend of Texas blues and classic rhythm-and-blues to the stage, backed by seasoned collaborators who enhance his rich sonic storytelling.
The Sir Harrison Band, led by Tucson-born Harrison Begay, delivers a smooth yet driving blues experience with influences of funk, jazz, and classic blues. Begay, a member of the Navajo (Diné) Nation, has built a reputation as a compelling guitarist and vocalist whose style melds expressive guitar lines with rhythmic depth. Known for representing Arizona at the International Blues Challenge and earning recognition within the state’s blues community, Sir Harrison brings energetic performances and authentic blues sensibilities to open this showcase.
